“Realize that anyone who tries to put you down about your appearance is assuming that it is your job to please them visually. Once you realize that it isn’t your job to be visually pleasing to anyone, ever, it becomes very hard for anyone to make you feel bad about yourself.”—Skeptifem (via fitvillains)
“Sometimes the things you complain most about are the things you care most about, unfortunately sometimes we don’t know that, until its too late.”—– Mr. Feeny, Boy Meets World (via stoptryingandjustletgo)
Life, hold on one minute! Let me get my bearings before you take off!
That is totally what I feel like at the moment. I have been incredibly busy as of late. My latest move being just that - a move across the states with my 7-month old, Hope. Let me just say, any negative or stressful situation in your life is magnified about 100 times when you have a screaming baby in your possession. My whole thing on last Saturday was to keep myself calm throughout the day. This would be my first time traveling with Hope and I wanted things to go as smoothly as humanly possible.
Well, there were definitely a few bumps along the way, including Hope screaming at the very top of her lungs once we got situated in our window seat. Seriously, poor girlie was terrified and wouldn’t even take her bottle. After some serious struggling and a few tears from myself, she drifted off to sleep.
After I calmed myself down, I took a few photos of El Paso as I was leaving.
So, here I am in South Carolina again. :) It feels really good to be home. The husbandman is getting out of the Army soon and will probably start the job hunt in this area soon after. I am really looking forward to seeing some friends that I have not been in touch with in years - and also doing a bit of job hunting myself. In fact, I am actually waiting to hear back from HR of a business that I have been in contact with before I left the desert.
I got here on Saturday and I restarted my workout regimen on Monday. Boy, have my legs been feeling it! I have also gotten the opportunity to meet a few awesome ladies over the past few days who workout just about as hard as I do. I am looking forward to this new chapter outside of the Army.
And simply ‘cause I don’t put my face on my blog enough…
“Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.”—Bill Bullard (via psych-facts)
